At International Math Academy, our mission is to redefine math education by proving that a genuine connection to learning is far more valuable than any grade. We believe that a student’s love for a subject can be deeply corrupted by the stress of tests, competitive exams, and the pressure to learn only to earn.

Our philosophy, forged from personal experience, is to free education from these pressures. We guide students to a place where they are driven by curiosity, not fear. When the pressure is removed, the true beauty of mathematics reveals itself, and learning becomes a joyous, self-motivated journey. Our ultimate goal is for every student to experience that same “pure, selfless romantic connection” with the subject that ignited our passion.

Our approach is built on the proven Flipped Classroom model, a strategy that empowers students to take ownership of their education.

• Before Class: Students are encouraged to explore new topics independently through high-quality, guided video lectures and resources on YouTube. This initial exposure to the concept happens in a comfortable, low-pressure environment, allowing the student to build a foundational understanding at their own pace.
• During Class: Our time together is not for passive lectures. It is for active, comprehensive practice. The student applies their understanding to a set of practice questions. My role is to act as a facilitator, providing only minimal cues and assistance. This gentle guidance helps a student overcome obstacles and find the solution themselves, ensuring that they truly own the learning process.

Our check for understanding is simple and stress-free: no tests, no formal assessments. Instead, a student engages in a daily self-assessment by completing a question, checking the answer, and trying again if needed. This process makes the student and me better aware of their understanding, replacing the stress of a formal exam with the empowerment of daily, consistent progress.
